Ride'n Along in My Automobile

I had more pictures of the kiddos playing on Jenna's Mustang, but I accidentally erased them off the camera! But, I have more! They all pile on to just play or hoping someone will push them around in the yard. now Jenna has a new battery and she can take them for a cruise. Daddy takes his turn at pushes the boys around. Tyler is always riding on the hood or on the back. Leah is busy making calls on her cell.
Ty-Man with one of his silly little grins.

"Watch the road Bro, I'm busy texting!"

"Let's listen to a few tunes while we cruise."

Flat Stanley Visits Hico

Flat Stanley is a book the second grade classes have read this year. They made Flat Stanley's to send to other schools and learn about his adventures. Jenna brought home one from Hawaii. So we decided to show Flat Stanley around Hico so Jenna could write back and send pictures of his adventure. First, we took him by the Billy the Kid statue.
Then, we went to the Billy the Kid Museum so he could have his picture taken.

Next we head over to the Wiseman House Chocolate Studio that is in Bliss. They even gave Jenna a sample!

Then we stopped for a picture with the steak cook off sign . the babies got in on this picture so the 2nd grade class in Hawaii could see Jenna's little brother's and sister.

One last stop at the western sign before we head back up the hill to the house.

Jenna's Flat Stanley will be traveling to Australia!

McLean Cousin's Birthday Party

On April the 11th we went to Lance and Katy's house to celebrate Quinton and Abby's birthdays. Quinton's is the end of March and Abby's at the beginning of April, so they are able to do one big party. It didn't take the babies long to warm up and get busy playing. Ricky quickly found Uncle Lu's golf club.
Tyler giving Jenna sugars.

Randy tying a balloon on Quinton's foot.

The quads were loving Abby's sand box.

Leah didn't think Ricky would mind a little sand in his hair.

Mmmm, good icing.

How to eat a cupcake: First you stick your thumb all the way to the bottom...

Leah being the cleanest cupcake eater so far.

Aunt Katy did sooo good on these cupcakes. I'M LUV'N IT!!

"I've got icing where?"

"I can jump and eat at the same time!"

Sadie and Abby enjoying their cupcakes.

MoMo helping Leah finish up her cupcake.

Abby flying high on her swing.

It's nearly all gone Tyler. And look how clean he still is!

Tyler decided to climb on up into Zach's lap so he could get a better look at baby Henry.

Tyler having fun in the tent.

Leah found some more of Uncle Lu's golf balls (she actually brought a couple home wit her).

Quinton kicking back during the festivities.
We all had a great time hanging out with the family (with no meltdowns-WOOHOO!!).

Playing in Nana's Shower

On the 11th, the quads were quite crazed with the idea of going into Nana's dark bathroom. And then the discovered the shower when she hit the lights. They thought it was a great new place to play! Leah and Heath still in the shower while Tyler and Ricky, with broom in hand of course, that he snagged off the sun porch, stop to see what Nana is doing.
Leah got herself a bottle of soap.

"BOO!" she says.

Tyler also saying"BOO!"

Heath and Tyler wandering what the heck the clothes hamper is while Granny watches out for fingers getting smashed.

Heath was being so silly. He would sit on the frog stool and then get up and pull up his shorts (which didn't need pulling up).

What's got you so surprised Roo Roo?

Tyler and Duckie taking a break with Nana on the frog stool.

Tyler decided to see if the truck would work in the shower.

CHICKEN POX!!!!!

Yes, Ricky had the chicken pox! Yes, he had the vaccination but its not full proof! The chicken pox are going around the elementary school and we must have been exposed one of the days I walked up to the school with the babies in their stroller to meet Jenna after school. Ricky's first spots showed up on his leg on Thursday, April 1st, but I thought they were probably ant bites. Well, on Friday he had them in his hair, neck, back and starting on his trunk. We thought maybe he was allergic to something in the yard since Randy had just mowed, everything is blooming, and grass and weeds are coming up. So I pulled out one of my nursing assessment books and low and behold, those spots/rash sure resembles the chicken pox! So I dosed him with Benadryl all day, cortisone cream, and gave him oatmeal baths to see if it would help(hoping still it was an allergic rxn). Nope. So I called dear Dr. Dayton at home on Saturday afternoon to see if he would look at him for me. Of course he would and yes, they looked like chicken pox just atypical since he had the vaccination. Thankfully no one else broke out with them! Bless his heart, his eyes were driving him crazy! They were red, swollen and itching like crazy!
Ricky in his oatmeal bath.

The poor guy had a cluster on top of his right eye lid and in his left eye. OUCH! He had them in his hair line in front and back, on his neck, trunk/tummy the worst. the ones on his arms and legs weren't too bad. Actually all was pretty mild since he had had the shot.

Such a sad face!

The ones on his neck that went up the back of his head. his hair would be nice and greasy from me rubbing cortisone cream in it!

All in all in did pretty well all week with them. But every night he woke up between 12:30 and 1:30am because he was so stopped up that he couldn't breathe. I would give him another dose of Benadryl and then some other congestion medicine. then about an hour later I would put him back to bed after I knew he was breathing better and clearer. Tiring week, but we made it!

Happy Easter!

We had our computer crash, so I'm going to be playing catch up again! We had a wonderful Easter together with our family, even with Ricky having the chicken pox! We didn't get to take the little ones to church as planned but still were able to spend the day with our family since everyone had already been exposed.

Mollie, Ashley and Jenna Easter morning before church.

Another picture of Jenna in her Easter dress. It's a very rare occasion to get this girl in a dress these days!

My Cute Quad's! Even though they didn't get to go to church, I decided we would be dressed up anyway! In order as usual: Ricky, Heath, Tyler, and Leah.

Leah decided to hang out in front of the fireplace a little longer so we tried to get her to smile for another picture. No luck on the smile.

Ricky decided he would crawl back up so we could take his picture again!

Tyler snatched Kristi's camera away from her. He wanted to see what was in that little square!

Ricky and Heath playing/fighting over part of an Easter gift from Momo.

Let's pull the grass out in case there's anything under it. Yes! cheesy whale crackers!

How's that jelly bean Leah?

Heath trying to put a glob of dirt from the freshly tilled garden into an egg. Actually it may be a glob of horse poop that Pa put on the garden! LOL!!

Tyler also giving up egg hunting for a bit to carry around who know what from the garden!

Ricky throwing his egg in Nana's burn pile. Guess he didn't like that one!

Off to the barn to see the horses!

Tyler back to hunting eggs. Wonder where his basket is?

Leah prying an egg open with her teeth!

Funny little He-Man making one of his silly faces after a find.

"I think I'll just take all of these, thank you!"

" Can I stuff anymore eggs in my pockets?"

Peace out, Mollie!

Now time for a ride behind the lawnmower! the kiddos loved riding in the wagon behind the lawn mower. Pa carried all around the house.

Everyone sitting very still. Not sure what to think at first.

Around we go!

Someone found the prize egg! Jenna with her cash.

Ricky, did you and Nana get nailed with a confetti egg?

Leah, Heath, and Tyler sitting on Mollie's horse. They LOVE the horses!

Ricky wants to see the horses, but when he gets right up next to them, he gets a little scared. Here, he's actually petting Munskin with Nana with Ashley watching in the back.

All four ready for a ride. Heath holding on tight!

Tyler making the tractor sounds.

"If my stink'n brothers would get out of my way, I'd show them how to drive this thing!"

We had a wonderful day with our kiddos and family! One of many wonderful memories!
